Jock grew up on the family cattle property ‘Cangon’, Dungog, NSW where he still lives and, as well as co-owning Barrington Polo, manages the thoroughbred stud ‘Cangon Stud Farm’. Here, Jock also breeds and sells polo ponies to the domestic and international market. The Mackay family have bred and played their own famous polo ponies from Cangon for over 100 years.
Polo is in Jocks blood. His father, Jaime Mackay, was captain of Australia for many years and Great Uncle Bob Skene was one of the best polo players in the world reaching the handicap of 10 goals.
Jock learnt to ride at the age of 5 and had his first polo game at the age of 9. After leaving school he traveled the globe working and playing polo for many famous polo operations in more than 10 different countries, in order to improve his polo skills.
Jock has played professional polo for the last 12 years and reached the handicap of 5 goals both here and in the UK. Jock has represented Australia on many occasions and currently plays off 4 goals.
Beau is the current president of Wirragulla Polo Club and is a Director on the board
of NSW Polo Association.

over 15 years and currently plays off 2 goals. For years Beau has had great success
breeding polo ponies on his family farm at Gresford NSW and selling ponies both here
in Australia and Internationally.
Beau is married to Reggie and they have one son, Dougal.
Both Beau and Jock are dedicated to the sport of polo and in particular, passionate
about teaching people to play. They both love traveling and playing polo as professionals,
but equally, they love teaching and helping people to play polo in the relaxed country atmosphere that is provided to clients at the historic Wirragulla Polo Club, which is an experience that is unattainable anywhere else in Australia.
